Our Mission

Welcome to Education PLUS+ We are delighted to have this opportunity to visit with you at our website, and we hope that the time you spend reviewing these pages will be encouraging to you. Our mission is to help parents put a PLUS+ in all their training activities: Patterning Learning Upon Scripture. Whether or not you have chosen home schooling as the primary setting for your children’s education, giving consistent attention to the Bible is the only way you will be able to fulfill God’s discipleship goals in your lives.

In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord Jesus Christ described two kinds of houses: one built on a foundation of sand and the other set upon a rock. In both cases the rains came, the winds blew, and the floods attacked the integrity of the construction. The results were easily predictable: The house on the rock stood firm, and the house on the sand collapsed with a “great fall.” (See Matthew 7:24-28).

It is not a difficult analogy to understand. The house represents a life. The builder is the person living that life. The rock foundation is the Bible, and the sand represents the personal opinions and preferences of the individual who makes his own way supreme. The elements of nature picture the stresses of life. The person who established his/her house (life) upon the sand was a “fool” in God’s eyes, because he/she ignored the truth. The wise individual was the one who not only heard the words of God, but obeyed them.

As a parent, you have the additional responsibility of building your household on this solid foundation. The materials described here are tools to help you cultivate wisdom in your family. These items have been carefully selected and thoroughly screened either directly by us or by like-minded, trusted friends. Of course, we don’t necessarily agree with every sentence in every book—after all, the authors are still working their way through a human pilgrimage! Nor do we endorse all the works of a particular author because we are offering one of them. A few of the items are produced by secular publishers, and their authors reveal a secular worldview. But they are here because the tools accomplish a specific goal.

Finally, we are not striving to be a general bookstore, providing you with all the possibilities that are available in the marketplace. Education PLUS has the specific goal of strengthening you for the work of discipleship in every arena of your training responsibilities.
